My wife and I spent Christmas Eve at the movies, and while most people were piling in to see Avatar or The Whale, we purchased our tickets for the latest low-budget horror film to cause a stir, The Mean One. From what we had heard The Mean One was The Grinch with a slasher spin. With popcorn obtained, we couldn’t be more excited to take on what was to be one of the weirdest and wackiest parodies in recent times.

Growing up there were a few go-to movies at our house. One was Star Wars and the other was The Road Warrior. It ultimately depended on Dad as to who I’d fear that night, Darth Vader or a mohawked, leather-clad biker.
