I've really been into collecting cards lately. I'm not sure why really, I think a lot of it has to do with nostalgia, but either way, because of which I recently ended up at Collect-A-Con with my kid a few weeks back.
We weren't able to attend on Saturday because of a scheduling conflict, and because of which we missed a performance by Vanilla Ice. Growing up, Ninja Turtles was my jam, and missing the iceman dance around to Ninja Rap was something I'd regret until Jason Paige took the stage.
While seeing the original Pokemon theme performed live wasn't on the top of my list of things I needed to see before I died, it was definitely in the conversation. My son and I had bonded over pocket monsters in the past but seeing the guy that sang the song that basically soundtracked most of my child's life was something else.
Jason Paige is something you can't miss, and I've seen Roger Waters. Twice. It's obvious that Paige loves to perform, but what is even more clear is how much the crowd loves him. When he took the stage all we needed to hear were the first few notes and everyone stopped what they were doing and watched in amazement.
Paige has sung backgrounds for everyone from Michael Jackson to Meat Loaf, he recorded a parody with The Rock, and he's received various nominations and awards. Obviously, he's extremely talented, and while I wasn't aware of his accolades prior to preparing to speak with him, the more I dug the more impressed I became. And you'll be impressed too if you check him out at the Fort Worth Convention Center!
Join me, Jason Paige, David Persin, and all of the special guests on November 6th and 7th for Pro Support TCG Weekend! Get your tickets HERE!
